Privacy statement

SHADE handles your data with care. This statement explains which personal data we process, why, for how long and what your rights are.
1. Who we are
SHADE B.V., Smederijstraat 27, 5111 PT Baarle-Nassau, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce no. 42159773, is the controller of your personal data. Privacy questions can be sent to info@shadesunsails.com.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making and we never sell it.
3. Cookies and third-party services
This website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. The sun sail planner loads map imagery and an address search from third parties: Mapbox, Esri (ArcGIS), OpenStreetMap, IDEIB (Government of the Balearic Islands) and Photon (Komoot). Software components are loaded via the unpkg and jsDelivr networks. These services receive your IP address and, when you search, the address you enter. This is technically necessary to display the map.
4. Who we share data with
We only share data where needed for the purposes above, with:
- our hosting and form provider (Netlify);
- providers of our customer management system (Supabase), email and office software;
- the sun sail manufacturer (SunFurl, Germany), only the project data needed for production and delivery;
- installation partners, electricians and carriers engaged for your project;
- our accountant and, where required by law, public authorities.
We agree security and confidentiality terms with our processors.
5. Data outside the EU
Some providers, such as Netlify, Mapbox and Esri, are based in the United States. For transfers outside the European Economic Area we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict processing and to data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to info@shadesunsails.com; we respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the authority in your own country, such as the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (Spain).
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections, limited access and accounts with strong authentication.
